Tis the Season and all that! Let's have some fun before pre-Christmas retail and planning drives us all batty. And since we all know it's better to give than to receive...

Somehow? A very awkwardly wrapped package shows up in Five's TARDIS. Don't ask how it got there. The wrapping paper is green with little cheery reindeer on, and there's a badly hand-tied white bow.

Really, the Doctor has got to just find someone else to wrap her gifts for her.

It's pretty obvious from the shape of the gift that it's a cricket bat (she couldn't find a box big enough for it), but what isn't readily apparent is the GIANT CELERY IMAGE adorning it.

Thete's present is left in their room, on the bed. There's a long, unwrapped white box- the sort you get flowers in- and a kitten wearing a little red bow napping on top. And if he moves the kitten's paw a little, he should be able to read the note.

Earth holidays are more your area, but happy Christmas, anyway.

Considering there are chocolate roses in the box and that's clearly a soppy romantic gesture, the mun considers it somewhat stupid to even bother crossing out the 'Love you', but who can argue with pups when they're giving themselves a little wiggle room for self-protective denial?

For a moment, he can only stare at the package, and the kitten, but when it starts mewing at him he strides forward, eyes sweeping over the note.

A soft, hidden smile curves his lips, and he scoops the kitten up, holding it to his chest.

"What should I call you, then," he murmurs.

See, there's a Koschei. He was going to enter the room, but then he noticed Thete in the room discovering his Christmas present, see he chose to stay outside and watch with a slightly satisfied grin.

Of course you can't see him through the open door. That would be an amateurish mistake.

What Thete gets in return for that stimulating conversation opener is a slight widening of Koschei's grin as he nudges the door open a little bit more to lean against the doorframe.

What? Say something? And ruin this perfectly adorable bonding session between Time Lord and cat? Koschei shudders at the mere suggestion, shudders.
